Dale Serrano Presents: "This One's For You"
The Dale Serrano Dance Varieties proudly presents, “This One’s For You”. This year’s production is a tribute to all that have supported the studio over the years and especially though the Covid Pandemic. It features favorite songs and dances chosen by our dancers and others in the studio. Selections range from such Broadway hits such as, “Jet Set” to everyone’s favorite style of Motown. These are numbers that have been studio favorites over the years. The music spans over decades of past favorites and to even current and popular titles as well.
As always, our productions feature a multitude of talent by some of our future stars in the dance world. Family-friendly music, choreography and costumes throughout the show. This year’s production is sure to be enjoyed by all and one to remember.

Natyananda School of Indian Dance Presents: “GURU VANDANA”
Celebrating 45 years of Natyananda School of Indian Classical Dance. Founded in 1978 by Sheila Rubin, Natyananda teaches the Indian classical dance form Bharata Natyam and performs both traditional and original choreography across Alabama and the USA.
Using innovative performance techniques, the company presents this ancient and exquisite dance form in a manner accessible to audiences unfamiliar with Asian art and culture.
“GURU VANDANA” -A Tribute to the Guru” is a dedication by the students of Natyananda to their beloved Guru, Ms. Sheila Rubin. It features a spectacular presentation of the gems of Natyananda over the years and a stunning new dance drama, Bala Ramayana.

The Moth Birmingham Inaugural GrandSLAM
Storytelling champs compete!
An ultimate battle of wits and words, The Moth GrandSLAM takes the winners from previous StorySLAM competitions and has them compete for the City Grand Champion title!
Listen as ten StorySLAM champs tell stories off the beaten track, of the unusual, unexpected, occasional, rare, and magical. On this night, using words as weapons, they compete to determine The Moth’s GrandSLAM Story Champion. The Moth is dedicated to finding intriguing people to tell inspired stories. At The Moth StorySLAM, those people find us.
